Both of these magic powers are given by the Greek god Zeus.
The player can only open the game’s extra stuff after finishing the main story on one of the game’s three hard levels. Most of the extra stuff shows a close look at parts of the game, like how the world was built and how Kratos was made, and also a look at places that were not used in the game but are still found on the bonus disc.
