You play as Johnny Blaze, a good man who gave his soul to a devil named Mephisto. Now that some bad demons have run away from hell, Mephisto needs to stop them before they hurt him. He will take your girlfriend to hell if you don’t help. Like in God of War, Ghost Rider fights with his burning fire chains. A revenge bar fills up if he uses many types of moves while not getting hit. The more this bar fills up, the more soul points he gets from the enemies he beats. Soul points are used to unlock new moves and bonus things, like new people to play as. You must have at least one full revenge bar to hurt some enemies with shields. A spirit meter, which works like a special power bar that also fills up when fighting, is there too. It lets you use powerful moves, like your fire gun. Hellcycle stages need you to dodge things while hitting enemies with your bike’s fire bullets and chains. This version of the game also has a mode with Hellcycle levels with other rules: remove and stay alive.
Ghost Rider hits his enemies with fire chains that burn. A rage bar will go up if he does many kinds of attacks and keeps from getting hurt.
